Journalists in the Ashanti Region participated in a health walk to adopt a proactive approach to preserving good health and preparing for the difficulties that lie ahead in the coming year.
Some Senior Members of the Ink -fraternity organised the initiative,in collaboration with telecommunications giant MTN Ghana, to provide media professionals a chance to de-stress and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
The journalists walked through various routes, including Ahodwo round about, Asokwa Interchange, Kumasi Mall to Asafo Interchange , A-Life to K.M.A , Ridge road to MTN main Office and it was accompanied by brass band music, and the event concluded with a football penalty shootout .

Simon Amoh, acting commercial manager of MTN Northern business, emphasised the significance of journalists taking regular health breaks, considering the possible health risks linked with their demanding occupations.
Aerobic training given by Warrant Officer Class One Austin Power of the Ghana Armed Forces focused on burning excess fat, correct diet, and staying physically active during the health walk.

urged the participants to exercise regularly to improve both physical and emotional health, stressing that “you can make all the money in the world, but if your health is not in good state you will never enjoy life.”
