The paramount Chief of the Asanso traditional council , Nana Karikari Apau II , has appealed to the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church to establish a teacher training college or university in the area as he’s willing to lease a acres of land at no cost .
He said after pioneering the promotion of quality education in the traditional area.
“It’s time the SDA church established a tertiary institution to ensure that the youth will have an access to higher education.”
This according to the Chief , wouldn’t not only help to improve the standard of living and social status of the people , but would further position the church as the true bedrock of education in the area.
Nana Karikari Appau II made the call in an address at the SDASS 70th anniversary held on October 29, 2023, at the campus school park and was monitored by ASP Sampene.
The 70th anniversary was under the theme ; Sustaining Quality Adventist Education For National Development.
Nana Karikari Appau II urged the SDA Church that the Asanso traditional council is ready to collaborate and offer acres of land at no cost to support the church to enable it to realize the dream of establishing a tertiary institution in the area.
