One of Ghana’s most popular afternoon social and relationship talk-show presenters, Oheneni Adazoa, host of Sompa Nkommo on Sompa FM and Sompa TV in Kumasi, is reportedly set to resign from the media outfit and join the newly-established Kumasi-based station Ahenfie 106.1 FM and Television.
Oheneni Adazoa has built a remarkable brand since moving to Sompa FM from Techiman-based Classic 91.9 FM, steadily earning admiration across the Ashanti Regional capital.
Known for her humour, natural storytelling, and relatable presentation style, she has become the toast of many listeners — especially women and young couples who follow her program for advice, inspiration, and entertainment.
At a time when Sompa FM has been working to strengthen its audience share, Oheneni’s show has consistently commanded impressive listenership, making her departure a significant blow to the station.
For Ahenfie FM, however, her arrival is expected to be a major boost.
The station is aggressively positioning itself within the competitive Kumasi media landscape, having recently secured high-profile broadcasters including Kofi Tuwuhofo from Abusua FM and outspoken morning show host Nana Kwadwo Jantuah from Nhyira FM as their programs manager.
