Whatever has a beginning surely has an end, and today i can confirm that I am finally closing down the chapter with Ashh fm, a subsidiary of Kencity Media after I tendered in my resignation yesterday which will take effect from 1st June, 2026 after 11 years of my stay with the station.
Arriving at this decision has not been easy but in life, there are certain points in time that one must take some decisions in shaping one’s life. I know my decision may come as a surprise to many, to others, it may come as heartbreaking, but in all, “Nyame ne hene”.
I must also state emphatically that, my decison is without malice or any hard feelings.
There have been ups and down but in all, they come together to form part of life’s experiences and that of the calling as well. Ashh fm has played a very instrumental role in making me who i am today, and will forever remain indelible when I write the book, “The Journey This Far” some day.
I wouldn’t wanna say much, but will forever remain grateful to the Group Chairman, CEO and General Manager of Kencity Media as well as the manager of Ashh fm. Three persons whose names I’ll specifially mention are Mr. Armstrong Asaah, the former GM of Ashh fm, Mr. Kofi Agyei “Away Bus”, former Events Manager of Ashh fm and current Manager of Wontumi TV/Radio, Kumasi and Mr. Solomon Ofosu-Ware, the current National Supporters Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko. I will forever remain grateful to them. To my colleagues at Ashh fm, I’ll say I appreciate each and everyone of you for being part of my journey to this end.
From now till 1st June, 2026, I’d wanna take the period to reflect on few things.
My next step will be made known soon.
Wishing you all
