Renowned sports journalist Bright Kamkam Boadu (BKB) has been named Sports Journalist of the Year at the 49th edition of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) awards.
The accomplished sports journalist, with decades of experience, is the host of Pure FM’s sports show in Kumasi, a subsidiary of the Angel Broadcasting Network.
The awards ceremony, held at the prestigious International Conference Center in Accra, was attended by sports journalists from across the country.
According to the MC, BKB’s ability to engage his listeners and deliver high-quality content set him apart from his colleagues. He faced stiff competition from Fentuo Tahiru of Joy FM, but ultimately took home the top honor.
Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang presented the award to him.
