Furthermore, Meta intends to launch advertisements on Facebook reels, so increasing the revenue opportunities for the creators .
Dr. Boakye Danquah said on Ashh FM that later this year, the monetisation functionalities will be extended to Instagram users, providing a bigger platform for producers to profit from their digital work.
According to the announcement, in order to participate in this initiative, content providers must adhere to Meta’s strict Partner Monetization Policies and Content Monetization Policies. He stated that the initiative’s goal is to empower Ghanaian content creators to make cash locally from their online activities, which will improve their ability to efficiently manage digital enterprises in their own way.
When asked if there are any tax arrangements involved, Dr. Boakye Danquah dismissed that notion, insisting that this is simply a fantastic opportunity for the country’s content providers.
He praised the minister for her excellent lobbying skills in achieving this outcome.
