Day 2 Fixtures for the ongoing Ashanti Region Inter Schools Soccer Competition will see some exciting fixtures at the Baba Yara Stadium as seven schools out of fourteen will attempt to secure tickets to the round of Sixteen.

Day one of the Ashanti Regional inter-school and colleges soccer competition kicked off today at the Baba Yara Stadium with some interesting results.
After a long wait, the competition kicked off in grand style with soccer powerhouse Adu Gyamfi SHS beating Bodomase SHTS by a lone goal (1:0) to book a place in the next stage of the competition.
Last year finalist T.I. Amass Ksi and a former winner of the competition in the 2nd match of the day managed to brush aside Dwamena Akenten SHS by 3:1 indicating their clear intentions for this year’s competition.
Kumasi Anglican SHS then defeated Bodwesango 2:0 in the 3rd match of the day to pick a ticket for the round of 16.

In the 4th game of the day, Kumawu based Tweneboa Kodua SHS picked the next qualification ticket after defeating Ejuraman SHS by 2:1.
Perennial qualifiers Aduman SHS then managed to account for Agona SHTS by winning 1:0 to pick the next qualification ticket.
Fawoade based Simms Senior High School caused the biggest upset of the day by beating last year semi-finalist and former winners Obuasi SecTech by two unanswered goals (2:0).
Prempeh College then accounted for Antoa SHS by a lone goal (1:0) in the next game of the day.
The last game of the day saw Islamic SHS winning by Nyinahin Catholic SHS by 3:1 to pcik the next available ticket for the round of 16.
The games continue tomorrow with some mouth watering fixtures at the Baba Yara Stadium.
