The Ministry of Lands and Resources, in collaboration with the Forestry Commission, has designated June 9th as Green Ghana Project Day.
Green Ghana Day has become a nationwide annual celebration. The project promotes the restoration of Ghana’s diminishing forest by planting nearly 5 million trees every day around the country. The overall number of trees planted will increase year after year.
The government provides free seedlings, and the scheme encourages citizen participation. As part of its social responsibility efforts, The World Tour and Entertainment teamed up with the Atonsu Junior High School in the Asokwa Municipality to plant 120 neem seedlings
As part of its social obligation, the World Tour and Entertainment partnered with the Atonsu Junior High School in the Asokwa Municipality to plant 120 Neem Plants.
Mr. Kwaku Atwere CEO of The World Tour and Entertainment, planted the neem tree seedlings which was nursed from seeds to seedling by himself.
Students from the Atonsu JHS and their Headmistress Mrs. Sarah Kwakye came to support the initiative and helped in the tree planting.
World Tour Entertainment couldn’t pass up the chance to participate in a project that showed the variety of ways in which we teach children about the importance of planting and protecting what has already been planted because this is an investment in the sustainability of our future.
