Finest actor, Kwadwo Poku Mahala has lamented on the stoppage of the release of ASORG funds to the industry players.
In an interview with Alexis The God’s Son over the last weekend, Mahala could not understand why the funds are not being distributed to the industry players, lately.
“When the funds were being released, I could get around Ghc2,000 in just a single release within the year. It used to come two times in a year. But lately, we’re informed that there are court issues on the funds so it has stopped coming.”
Kwadwo is not the only actor who has expressed his worry about the stoppage in the distribution of funds as there have been several calls from many other actors in that regard.
Audio-Visual Rights Society Of Ghana (ARSOG) was established in 2011 to protect the rights of movie makers in Ghana and is governed by an eleven member board. The organization distributes royalties it collects from commercial users of movies to its members.
