Former Ghana Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan honoured at the 8th Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Africa Awards 2023.
The event was held at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Center (AICC) on Saturday, October 14, 2023 and graced with prominent personalities.
The retired footballer was recognized with his immeasurable works in Africa football and philanthropic works.
He bagged the Continental Icon award as the event is mainly organized to promote men and boys in contribution of development.
Gyan has had an enviable career with the Black Stars and is currently the team’s all-time top scorer with 51 goals since making his debut in 2003.
He is also the first Ghanaian player to score at a Fifa World Cup and the youngest player to score a goal for Ghana, at the age of 17.
