Kumawood actor Sylvester Agyapong known as Papa Sly has expressed confidence that his efforts in campaigning for the NDC during the 2024 general elections will not go unnoticed. He, along with other actors and actresses, formed the Kumawood Stars for Mahama group, traveling across the country to rally support for John Mahama’s victory.
However, concerns have been raised as none of these Kumawood stars have received appointments in Mahama’s government. Addressing the media, Papa Sly said he remains hopeful.
“I am patiently waiting, and I know my work will not be in vain. I campaigned vigorously for the NDC, and everyone knows the sacrifices we made, especially in the Ashanti Region. It wasn’t easy, but we risked our lives for the party. I trust that John Mahama will recognize my hard work. I’m not in a rush—my time will come,” he stated confidently.
