On Sunday night, the Dome of the Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi became the centre of interest for Christians in the Metropolis as MTN Ghana convened notable Gospel musicians to minister in worship and praise songs during the MTNStandsInWorship Concert.
The enthusiastic Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Mr Kofi Sarpong, literally set the hall on fire with his famous songs and other gospel musicians’ versions of the resurrection tale.
Following the Police Officer, the exciting Brother Sammy, also known as “the Nation’s Worshipper,” onto the stage and entertained the audience with encouraging worship songs and music.
The ever-young Kwaku Gyasi and the flamboyant Obaapa capped the night with cheerful and fantastic danceable tracks.
Apostle Dr Nana Sarpong, Leader of a Kumasi-Based Church, encouraged the audience and praised MTN Ghana for hosting such concerts during the Christmas and Easter seasons.
He emphasised that these events serve as a legacy for Christians and encouraged people to support and patronise MTN Ghana’s effort.
The Minister of the Gospel reminded Ghanaians of the forthcoming general elections in December and advised them to exercise caution when promoting their chosen political parties or ideologies.
“On December 7, we will go to the polls to choose a President and 275 Members of Parliament (MPs) to form the next government. I want to caution all of us.”
