The Kuntanase Edwenase Chief Nana Kofi Kutrampem has been granted a bail by Bosomtwe District Court for the alleged theft and slaughter of thirty-two goats following a warning not to raise goats in the Edwenase village.
In an interview with ASP Sampene monitored by seancity media , The accused Chief , is believed to have stolen and slaughtered 32 goats with the help of one person name withheld.
According to the owners of the rearing goats, the chief allegedly ordered the peoples to remove their rearing goats because he intended to outlaw goats in the area, but they refused to comply and without the owners’ (victims) knowledge, the Chief gave the order for one person to arrest thirty-two goats and slaughtered them and took away the fresh meat to Kumasi.
The court presided over by His Lordship Francis Asakeya granted the suspect a bill for proper interrogations after the police prosecutor prayed the Kuntanase District Court to grant a bill while investigations continues, they are to reappear on November 23, 2023, the other suspect was granted an amount of Ghc2000 and one surety.
