Gospel radio show host Alexis De Godson of Pure FM, Kumasi, has extended a helping hand to widows this Christmas through his annual charity outreach, “Worship With the Widows.”
As part of the gesture, the celebrated broadcaster donated food items and other essentials to support widows during the festive season, ensuring they also experienced joy and relief at this special time of the year.
“Worship With the Widows” has become a yearly initiative led by Alexis De Godson and his partners, aimed at showing love, compassion, and practical support to vulnerable women who often struggle to make ends meet.
In addition to the food donations, Alexis De Godson also presented a seed capital of GHS 2,000 to support widows who wish to start small businesses and empower themselves economically.
He explained that the initiative is inspired by his desire to give back to society and to encourage others to remember the less privileged.
The widows expressed deep appreciation for the support, describing the gesture as timely and life-changing.
